At the start of the company's operations in 1994, Analog Microelectronics GmbH, Germany, focused its activities on the development and sale of silicon integrated circuits. To this expertise was added, twenty years ago, the development of pressure sensors, which today represent the main sector of activity. In this area, miniaturized sensor systems are developed for the automation industry, medical technology, avionics and automotive technology as well as for air conditioning and building technology. The range of services extends from the design of pressure sensors to the organization of the production of sensors ready for use. In addition to pressure sensors with analog and digital interfaces, wireless sensors are also increasingly being offered.

In addition to customer-specific sensors, Analog Microelectronics offers 4 types of pressure sensors for ranges from 1.25 mbar to 17 bar. The AMS 5XXX with digital or analogue output in the typical ceramic design, the miniaturized AMS 6XXX series in a plastic housing, the IP66-protected ready-to-use transducers of the AMS 47XX series and the overpressure-resistant AMS 30XX in a stainless steel housing. Following the new low-power, low-pressure sensor AMS 5935 with an 18-bit resolution, Analog Microelectronics GmbH is presenting a miniaturized MEMS sensor at the mesures solutions EXPO fair in Lyon. This pressure sensor extends the AMS 6915 series with a metal pressure connection and is suitable for relative pressures up to 16 bar.
